An air-oil separator is critical to the performance and longevity of your compressor by preventing oil loss through the sump tank. As the male and female rotors spin, at speeds up to 3800 RPM, they are lubricated with compressor oil and as the air gets compressed, so does the oil. Oil scavenge lines are responsible for removing the oil out of the bottom of the separator and cycling it back into the oil system.
